Obituary

Willard “Willy” F. Hawley, Jr., age 68, of Wabeno and Jay, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. He was born on September 14, 1958, to the late Willard and Kathleen (Keating) Hawley, Sr in Appleton. Willy joined the Army to serve his country in his younger years. He worked for many years as a millwright at Kimberly Clark, and then in his early retirement, developed Camping in the Clouds in Florence, Wisconsin, where others could make memories and enjoy the outdoors. Once fully retired, Willy moved to Florida to escape the colder months.

Willy enjoyed wrenching on any kind of engine or taking on a project, even if the last one wasn’t quite finished. He was always up for an adventure. Most importantly Willy cherished the time spent with his family; his greatest joy came from time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Willy is survived by his children: Tony Hawley, Colleen (Billy) Daul, and Kris (Nick) Ducklow; grandchildren: Eleanor, Kohen, Ally, Harper, Macey, Hayze, Elli, and Sullivan; brother Mike Hawley; sister Pat (Tom Vargo) Hawley; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Marlene Hawley. Per the family’s wishes, a private celebration will be held at a later date.
