Vicki Renea Ortiz, age 51, of Appleton, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, due to complications from Covid-19. Vicki was born in Springfield, MO, on May 24, 1970, to the late Lee and Virginia (Goodwin) Dickerson. In 1997, she was united in marriage to Nelson Ortiz. The couple enjoyed 7 years together until Nelson's passing in 2004. Vicki worked as a home health aide. She was a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution and believed strongly in historic preservation and patriotism. Her favorite thing in the world was spending time with her grandchildren.

She will be missed by her daughter Shelby (Nicholas) Turnbell, Appleton; her son, Josh Dickerson, Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren: Rosealie, Rylan, Gideon, Genevieve, Maddilyn, Logan, and Jensen; 2 sisters: Shelly Dickerson, Springfield, MO and Melinda (James) Denton, Las Vegas, NV. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Virginia Dickerson, husband Nelson Ortiz, and brother, Clarence Dickerson.

A memorial service will take place at 2 pm on Saturday, November 27, at the Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service.
