Obituary

Thomas Skjoldager

70, passed away on January 3rd, 2024, with his family at his side following a brief fight with cancer. He was born September 4th, 1953, in Appleton, WI to George and Edith Skjoldager.

He proudly served in the Navy on the USS Midway during the aftermath of the Vietnam War, returning home with an honorable discharge after receiving debilitating injuries from a car wreck in Guam. While in the service Tom found a knack for computers and spent much of his civilian career as a programmer for Outagamie County, where he retired after nearly 20 years.

Tom enjoyed solitude and contemplation while fishing, and he could often be seen on the shores of Jefferson Park in Menasha. Tom was also a lifetime Milwaukee Braves and Brewers fan, inheriting the love of the sport from his mother.

He is survived by his two children, Andrew and Kathryn; and his sister and brother-in-law, Randi and Al Bogen. He will be remembered with love by all his friends and family.

In lieu of a service or flowers, the family asks those looking to honor Tom to make a donation to a veteran-focused charity of their choosing, and to enjoy a cold beer during this year's opening day.
