Thomas "Tom" E. Now, age 72, of Mellen and formerly Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond Du Lac. Tom was born to Ervin and Marie (Hayek) Now on August 2, 1951 in Antigo. He graduated from Antigo High School in 1969. Tom went on to serve his country in the National Guard. He worked for many years at Mercury Marine as a machinist until he relocated to Mellen, Wisconsin.

Tom enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved four-wheeling, shooting, boating, and watching the wildlife around his home. He particularly loved caring for and spending time with his puppies.

Tom is survived by his mother Marie Now; his children: Jason (Missy) Now, Brian (Lisa) Now, and Laura (Jacob) Lavey;  grandchildren: Ashley Now, Brady Now, Allison Now, Madalyn Now, Atley Now, Lucas Lavey and Liam Lavey; girlfriend of many years Dawn Karst and her daughter Amber; siblings: Gary (Kathy) Now, John (Theresa) Now and Terese (Paul) Morris; niece Margo (Bill) Sherer; nephews: Corey Meverden, Stephen Now and David Now; other relatives and close friends; and canine companions DJ and Messa.

Tom is preceded in death by his father Ervin; and furry friends Shadow, Harry and Charlie.

Per Tom's wishes, no formal service will be held. He will be inurned at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo next to his father.

A genuine thank you to the staff at Hospice Home of Hope for the care and compassion they showed Tom and his family.
