Terry Burt Turgeon, 81 passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024, surrounded by his beloved sons, Chris and Josh, and his wife, Diana.

Terry was born in Evanston, Illinois on September 28, 1942, to William R. and Edith (Skinner) Turgeon.  He was raised in Northbrook, Illinois where he married his wife and raised their two sons. He and his wife relocated to Menasha, WI in April 2015.  His Dad and several partners owned and operated Sky Harbor Airport located in Northbrook from 1937 to 1971.  He spent his childhood "hanging" around the airport where he ultimately learned to fly and started working for his Dad. It was said that he started flying before he could walk!

Terry served as a corporate pilot for Gutmann Leather Company, Chicago for 25 years.  In his role as Chief Pilot, he flew a Cessna Citation, small corporate jet, and managed the Aviation Department at Palwauke Airport (Chicago Executive) until he retired in December 2000.

When Terry wasn't flying, he loved spending time with his family and supporting his sons in all of their sports activities.  Also, Terry loved his adopted dogs especially "the love of his life" and ever-present shadow, Brandy.  In his spare time, he loved reading and listening to Classical music and Broadway scores.  Terry's warm and loving personality drew people to him.  He was also an active member of The Village Church where his faith sustained him through his life's journey.

Terry's memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 601 East Glendale Avenue, Appleton, WI. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to:
