Susan Marie Arts, age 59, passed away on October 7, 2024. She was born on May 6, 1965, the eighth child of John and Gerry Arts.

Born with Down Syndrome, Sue offered us hugs, unconditional love, patience, complete honesty, and understanding for all our shortcomings. She accepted everyone that accepted her. She could feel her connections with others. Her innocence and honesty brought joy to anyone who took the time to know her.

Sue's entire family strived to give her the best life possible. She was the glue that held us together.

Growing up in Appleton, Sue graduated from Plamann School, then moved to Green Bay where she worked for 20 plus years at Aspiro under Jennifer - the best friend and manager she would ever have.

Sue enjoyed latch hooks, word and number books, swimming, bowling, music, and dancing. Her proudest moments were winning four gold medals as an international Olympian with the Special Olympics. She competed in the Netherlands where she met her grandpa and other relatives in Amsterdam.

Her favorite international holiday was her birthday; she loved receiving cards from her family in Canada, Australia, and Holland. She had an incredible memory for everyone's birthday, even past pets. Her family was everything to her.

Those waiting in heaven are her parents; John and Gerry Arts; Godfather and brother Arnie; and brother-in-law, Jim Jischke.

Susie will be missed and forever loved by her siblings: Joann (Dan/Herbie) Mitchler, Cheryl, Mary, John, Theresa (Dale Judd), Mike (Brenda), Paul (Lynn) Arts and Liz Erickson. Sue was very proud of her nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration for Sue's beautiful life will be privately celebrated with family.
