Shirley Ann Keddell

86, Appleton, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. She was born on June 22, 1936, in Neenah to the late George and Evelyn (Boelter) Meyer. She worked at the Valley Inn Hotel prior to marrying Thomas Keddell on March 28, 1953. She then began raising her family and also cared for other children at her home for many years. Shirley enjoyed cutting hair for family and friends. Wood burning, watching Lifetime movies, doing puzzles, dancing, gardening, watching birds and karaoke were some of the many things she enjoyed doing. In her later years she volunteered for Theda Care at Home Hospice.

She will be greatly missed by her children: Daniel (Mary) Keddell of Appleton, Violet (Bob) Reed of Ripon, Patricia (Steve) Jones of Appleton and Linda (Mike) Skifstad of Appleton; 14 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; one sister: Joyce Lindenbeck, Green Bay; sisters-in-law: Gladys Meyer, Marilyn Keddell, and Kim.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas, a son, William, four brothers: George, Harold, James and Gary Meyer; four sisters: Mary Lou Meinhardt, Geraldine Gladowski, Donna Meyer and Anita Hanson; a son-in-law, Laverne 'Skip' Skifstad and a special friend, Frank Roovers.

A Funeral Service for Shirley will take place at 12 PM (Noon) Friday, Oct. 21, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10 AM until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the Respite Care program of the VNA of Fox Cities.
