Obituary

Sandra "Sandy" LaViolette (Warnke), 78, of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026.

Sandra was born on December 7, 1947, in Portage, Wisconsin, to Frank and Eleanor (Anacker) Warnke. She graduated from Casco High School in 1965, then attended beautician school, beginning a career that reflected her love of connecting with people.

Sandra was fiercely independent and took great pride in doing things her own way. Whether biking across town for groceries and errands or stopping by on weekends to sit and talk, she approached life with determination and resilience. She taught us that life is like a bicycle ride—when the hill gets too hard, you walk.

Sandra never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, and formed countless friendships throughout her life. Her warmth and ability to bring smiles to others will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Eleanor Warnke; her siblings, Ronald Warnke and Shelbey Warnke; and her beloved daughters, Susan and Tina. Sandra often spoke of how deeply she missed her girls and longed to be with them again. We find comfort in imagining that Susan and Tina were waiting with open arms to welcome her home.

Sandra is survived by her siblings, Richard, Rex, and Randy Warnke; her grandchildren, Justin Siegel and Corey Moede (Abbi); her great-grandchildren, Iven and Emilia; and many extended family members and friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff and residents at St. Vincent in Kaukauna for helping Sandra remain active and engaged. We are also deeply grateful to the nurses and caregivers at Appleton Medical Center and Cherry Meadows for their compassion, guidance, and care during her final days. Thank you for helping us navigate this difficult journey and for ensuring Sandra remained comfortable and smiling—even when that meant Reese's Peanut Butter Cups for breakfast!

Sandra's strength, determination, humor, and gift for conversation will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

We will forever miss you, Sandy. We hope your girls were waiting for you.

Per Sandra's wishes, no services will be held.
