Obituary

RoseMarie Piette, age 94, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Appleton.  RoseMarie was born in Bowler, WI on February 4, 1929, to the late Carl and Effel (Kleman) Kading.  She graduated with the class of 1947 at Appleton High School.

On November 10, 1951, RoseMarie was united in marriage to Norbert Piette at First English Lutheran Church, Appleton.  The couple enjoyed 58 years together until Norbert's passing in 2009.  She loved to sew, especially Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.  She made over 100 of them and gave them to children throughout the country, making her last one in 2015.  She loved to bake – her specialty being chocolate chip cookies and was also known for her "world famous" spaghetti sauce.  She was the ultimate homemaker and mother, even teaching all four of her kids to drive.  Family was everything to her, and she instilled in each of her kids and grandchildren the importance of family.  RoseMarie loved kids and volunteered her time assisting teachers at local elementary schools for years.  She was a long-time member at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Appleton.

She will be missed by her two daughters:  Michelle Piette, Appleton and Colleen Lambrecht, Oshkosh; 2 sons:  Kurt (Laura) Piette, Green Bay and Jon (Lisa) Piette, Combined Locks; 6 grandchildren:  Andrew (Heather) Lambrecht, Melisa Lambrecht, Natalie Piette, Christopher Piette, Kyra Piette, and Matthew Piette; 4 great grandchildren:  Nolan, Logan, Vera, and Alita; and a brother, John Kading, Appleton.  She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Effel, husband Norbert, granddaughter Sara Lambrecht, brother Charles, 2 sisters:  Eunice and Valerie, and son-in-law Larry Lambrecht.

A funeral service will take place at 11:30 am on Saturday, March 18 th at the Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel.  Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service.  Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
