Rose Marie Taubel, age 65, passed away December 17, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Rose was born on April 17, 1957, in St. Paul Minnesota to the late LeRoy and Frieda (Mountain) Sorenson.  Rose retired around 2008 after serving as a long-term employee of the local Combined Locks Paper Mill.  It was during those years that Rose would fall in love with and soon marry her husband Andrew Taubel on February 19, 1981.  Together they raised four children:  Jenny (Ron) Schuman, Kelly (Paul) Boucher, David Taubel, and Keith (Jenny) Taubel.  Their lives were additionally blessed with 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  Rose is further survived by her brother Steve (Debbie) Sorenson and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rose lived most of her life in the Appleton and Fox Cities area where she especially treasured spending time with family and friends.  She was always proud of her Indian heritage.  Rose kept very active and enjoyed experiencing things such as golfing, scuba diving, vacationing, site seeing trips, and even cheering for the Packers.  Rose would also fill her heart with the companionship of her many pets and take pleasure in paging thru magazines.

A celebration of Rose's life will take place at 4 pm on Monday, January 2, at the Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel.  Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Monday from 2:30 pm until 4.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Through the memories and the shaping of all the lives around her, Rose's love will never die.
