Roger N. Horn, age 85, of Appleton, has joined his dad, Tuffy, mother, Marion, and sister, Joann, in eternal rest on Monday, February 24th, 2025, at Arborview Manor in Oshkosh.  Roger was born in Appleton on July 17, 1939, to the late Norman "Tuffy" and Marion (Last) Horn.

Roger started work at Kimberly Clark in Kimberly and dedicated himself to them for 43 years and their numerous name changes over time.  He loved traveling, driving his boat, grouse hunting, ice fishing, and playing cards with family and friends.  He also enjoyed getting together with family and friends at Nancy's, the neighborhood tavern just down the street now known as Friends and Neighbors.  He spent a lot of his pastime model railroading and watching the Brewers and Packers even if they were "piss poor."  Roger had a very good sense of humor and soft heart -always asking how his family's dogs were doing.

Roger is survived by his brother, Dan (Irene) Horn, Freedom; two sisters, Marilyn (Don) Borsche, Combined Locks and Terry (Ron) Woehler, Fence; nieces and nephews Rod, Bob, Todd, Salena, Tanya, Lee, and Valerie.  He is further survived by many great nieces and nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will take place at 11 am on Friday, February 28, at the Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel.  Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Friday from 10 am until 10:45 am.  Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Arborview Manor and Preceptor Hospice for their compassionate care given to Roger, and to his niece Valerie, who was always there to make sure Roger was well taken care of.
