Rodney A. Henschel, age 77, of Appleton passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Thedacare Regional Medical Center, Appleton. He was born on January 22, 1944 in Wisconsin Rapids to the late Gilford and Ethel (Sharkey) Henschel. Rodney proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Margaret Draeger on July 17, 1965; she preceded him in death in 2013. Rodney started Henschel Machine which he owned and operated for many years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton. Rodney enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Rodney is survived by his son Timothy (Kris) Henschel; a granddaughter Michelle Henschel; and 3 step grandchildren: Jordan, Amber and Tara. He was preceded in death by his wife; son James; brothers Brad and Dan Henschel; and his parents.

A private family service will take place. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
