Obituary

Paul E. Kirk, age 68, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Cherry Meadows in Appleton.  He was born to the late Otto and Ann (Conard) Kirk on December 27, 1957, in Appleton.   Paul served as a member of the United States Army and took great pride in his service.

Paul cherished life's simple pleasures, from hunting and camping in the great outdoors to relaxing with a good book or crossword puzzle. He took pride in his coin collection and was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. Above all, Paul loved spending time with his family, who will deeply miss his warmth and steady presence.

Paul is survived by his sister Louise Froode; his nieces: Angela Bayer (Mike Cowen), Lou Ann (Clint) Prahl, and Marcie (Brian) Williams; great nieces and nephews: David, Saige (Danny), Easton, Jaidah (Justin), Brooklyn, Tyson, Tatum (Bryce), Sariya (Jacob), and Barett; his aunts Theresa Annoye and Barbara Paul; uncles Alphonse (Candy) Conard and Leonard (Faye) Conard; and many other relatives and close friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and best friend David Young.

A memorial service for Paul will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E Fremont Street, Appleton with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating.  Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Paul's name.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the kind and caring staff at cherry meadows and ThedaCare Hospice for helping them throughout this difficult journey.
