Patricia Ann
(Weinandt) Anderson
Jan 19, 1938 — May 30, 2024
Menasha
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, "Patty", met her savior with great peace and abounding joy on May 30, 2024. At 86 years young, Patty's fervent love for her soulmate, Brock, and for Jesus were infectious throughout her final days.
Patty was born to Clement and Elizabeth (Boisdorf) Weinandt in Oshkosh, WI on January 19, 1938. She and Brock Anderson, the love of her life, married on January 29, 1960, in Peoria, IL. For over 30 years, Patty tended to her customers at Waverly Beach Tavern (the "Old" Waverly as it is known today), where she was bartender and co-owner. She dedicated her life to her family, and to the business where customers were family as well. Anyone who had ever been poured a drink or served a meal by Patty, felt at home, seen, and cared for. This was not unusual, as Patty often demonstrated her great love in small ways. By Patty's example, we learn that blessings done quietly, in service and love, can be the most enduring.
Patty embraced her faith, practicing her devotion to the Lord with the same steady, unassuming grace as she lived her life. She prayed the Rosary daily and found peace and comfort in her deeply rooted faith. When not occupied with family and fellowship, Patty enjoyed gardening, spending time with her pets, and talking politics.
Patty is survived by her loving children, Daniel (Susan), Peter, and John (Ann) Anderson of Menasha, WI. Her grandchildren Daniel Jr. (Mira) of Allen, TX and Matthew (Gaby) Anderson of Neenah, WI, as well as Caitlin and Noah Anderson of Menasha, WI, will miss her dearly. Her great-granddaughters, Annabelle, Agnes and Aurora Anderson of Allen, TX will continue to grow up hearing stories of their grandparents. Finally, she is survived by her siblings, Mary (Otto) Hofmann of Kimberly, WI and Mike (Carol) and Tony Weinandt of Menasha, WI, and their children.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Brock, daughter Catherine Elizabeth, parents Clement and Elizabeth Weinandt, infant brother Tommy, sister Colleen (Pat) Pawlowski, sister-in-law Karen Weinandt, and Aunt Sister Lauren Weinandt. In her final days, she eagerly talked about her reunion with not only her savior, but the family and friends already in heaven.
A funeral service for Patricia will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Church, 516 DePere Street, Menasha. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah for their care and compassion for Patty and the dignity and respect they provide to all those in their care.
To Mom, we love you and miss you more as each day passes, but as we remember some of your last words ("I love my Jesus!"), we smile and know you are in your eternal home.
