Patricia Ann Summerfield, age 78, of Appleton, WI and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Primrose Assisted Living, Appleton, after battling kidney disease.

Patti was born on September 27, 1945, in Sheboygan to the late Richard and Norma (Widder) Schmitt. She was a part of Sheboygan North High School's class of '63. Following high school, she attended UW - Oshkosh. In 1965, she married Dennis Robichaud and had three children.

On July 24, 1982, Patti was united in marriage to Larry Summerfield. Patti and Larry spent years managing the three Lube Pros in the Fox Valley area that they owned before moving to Naples, Florida to fulfill their dream of living on a boat. The couple spent 38 years traveling the world, listening to Jimmy Buffet, and becoming regulars at various supper clubs and restaurants until Larry's passing in 2020.

Patti was the Vice President of the Junior Women's Club in the state of Wisconsin. She was an active boater in the Naples Sailing and Yacht Clubs. When not in Florida, Patti loved the beautiful Wisconsin summers in Appleton, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and frequenting her favorite supper clubs where everybody knew their names. Patti vacationed to Crab Lake with her family where she bird watched and challenged her grandkids to card games.

If Patti could give you any advice, it would be 'Life is short – eat dessert first' and there is no better Sunday than a Packer Sunday.

In her earlier days, she enjoyed being a part of the Cedar Skiers Waterski Club, golf and curling at the Appleton Curling Club.

Patti is survived by her loving son, Dirk (Jennifer) Robichaud, Menomonee Falls, WI; two daughters: Denise (Michael) Klauck, Kiel, WI and Darcey (Kevin) Brinkhoff, Estero, FL; stepdaughter, Carolyn (Scott) Summerfield, Rockton, IL; brother, James (Alyssa) Schmitt; sister-in-law, Wendy Schmitt; 8 grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Norma, husband Larry, two brothers, Thomas and Richard Schmitt, and sister-in-law, Maggie Robichaud.

A memorial service will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 27, at the Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel, Appleton. Friends may visit the funeral chapel on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. The interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Make- A-Wish Foundation.
