Obituary

Nancy Patricia (Gilbert) Schroth Wife, Mother, and Grandmother ran with arms wide open into the arms of Jesus on March 6, 2024.

She fought breast cancer with grace, strength and boldness. She won with Jesus by her side and worships Him in eternal victory.

Nancy was born to Arthur and Madeleine (Lassard) Gilbert on April 24, 1953. In 1972, she met a young man named John Schroth. He loved that she wore a jacket with a broken zipper and could only be authentic. She didn't need to impress anyone. She was herself. It didn't hurt that she was so beautiful. They were married on April 7, 1973. Last April, they celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage. They would tell you that they worked hard for each other, it wasn't always easy, but they laughed a lot and were inseparable best friends. She was a devoted, loving, beautiful, passionate, and full of life wife. They had 3 sons Lance, Luke, and Scott. She dedicated her life to raising her boys and was such an amazing mom. The five of them enjoyed spending time together snowmobiling, skiing, traveling, kayaking, fishing, and camping. She loved her boys and their wives more than most anything except her grandkids. Being a Grandma was her favorite. She loved watching them grow and learn. She loved spending time with them. They were truly the pride and joy of her life.

When people met Nancy, they knew that she loved Jesus. Her relationship with her Savior was by far the most important. She was a devoted follower of Christ and was so grateful that He saved her. She would want you to know that He loves you and wants to save you too.

She is survived by her husband John Lee Schroth. Sons Lance (Theresa Kloehn) Schroth, Luke (Kristina Christian) Schroth, and Scott (Michelle Milbach) Schroth, Grandchildren Aidan, Owen, Natalie, Blair, Lucy, Emery, Quinn, Liam, Calvin, Eva, Hope, and Kimberland.

She is further survived by her siblings, Daniel (Sheila) Gilbert, Joanne (Ralph)Fuss, Cindy Wickesberg, Thomas (Diane) Gilbert, Barbara (Earl) Hofacker and sister-in-law Evelyn Gilbert. In laws Vern (Katie) Schroth, Robert Schroth, Carl (Paula) Schroth, Paul (Darlene) Schroth, Mary (Gary Tritz) Schroth, David Schroth, and Rita (Mark) Joshi and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Madeleine Gilbert, her father and mother-in-law Clarence and Lorraine (Gomm) Schroth, sisters Susan Steinacker, Thyra Davidson, and brother Paul Gilbert, sister-in-law Priscilla Schroth

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39
