Mary Ann Vvalther, age 88, of Appleton, passed away at Country Villa in Freedom on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.  She was born to the late George and Gertrude (Lindskins) Walters on March 2, 1937.  She worked for many years as a drug and alcohol counselor in New Mexico.  Mary enjoyed reading, crocheting, silversmithing, and beadwork.  She also enjoyed camping and spending time at her parents' cottage.

Mary is survived by her children: Dawn (Nick) Albanese, Debbie Treiber, Dan (Laurie) Treiber, Diana (Nick) Ong, and Dena West; grandchildren: Candice Albanese, Justin Albanese, Christopher (Cara) Albanese, Noel Albanese, Matthew (Layla) Ong, and Michael Ong; great grandchildren: Kyle, Jaxon, Brianah, Danielle, Andrew, Luka, Nico, Madison, Bailey, and Maggie; sister Lori Griesbach; and other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her parents; and her brother-in-law Russell Griesbach.

A graveside committal service for Mary will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Historic Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.  In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in memory of Mary.
