Marlene Mary Missling

89, Appleton, passed away on May 30, 2025, at Brewster Village following a brief illness. Marlene was born on April 28, 1936, in New London to the late Arnold and Vadyn (Reed) Missling. She obtained her master's degree in Elementary Education and taught in San Bernardino, CA for 38 years.

She returned to the Fox Valley and was an active member of First English Lutheran Church. She was a part of the Sarah Bible Circle, Birthday Club, United for Reading Success and a choir member for 30 years.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Rhea Missling; nephews: Tom (Anne) Missling and Tom (Cindy) Missling and a great niece Cariann Missling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Erna and a brother, Donald Missling.

A Funeral Service for Marlene will take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at (Noon) 12 PM at First English Lutheran Church (downtown site) with Rev Mary Bauer officiating. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 10 – 12 (Noon). She will be laid to rest alongside her parents at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
