Mark G.
Neuser
Aug 22, 1953 — Nov 21, 2025
Appleton
Mark G. Neuser, age 72, of Shiocton, passed peacefully into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 21, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his wife and family.
Born August 22, 1953, to William and Mary Neuser, Mark was known for his kind heart, entrepreneurial spirit, and sense of humor. His career spanned several industries, from bringing the Car-X franchise to the Fox Valley to his most recent 20-year tenure as a New Home Specialist with Parrot Homes. Mark was a man of deep faith who was passionate about classic cars and helping others reach their dreams.
On April 3, 1992, he married his best friend, Joanie. Together, they shared 44 wonderful years of life and devotion. Mark was known from his earliest years as a man who was consistently caring, kind, and—to the delight of those who knew him—a bit of a prankster. His hardworking nature surfaced at age ten with a paper route, sparking an entrepreneurial spirit that would define his life. Even in his early work in maintenance at the Virginia Nursing Home, Mark's true calling was people; he could often be found visiting with residents long after his shift had ended.
Mark enjoyed a diverse and successful career across several industries. His early passion for the automotive world led him to co-found the Car-X franchise in the Fox Valley. He later owned and managed a convenience store in Black Creek and found great satisfaction in revitalizing struggling businesses and partnering in investment building.
At age 29, Mark joined the sales team at Lake Forest Resort and Club in Eagle River. It was there that he forged many lifelong friendships and launched a stellar career in sales. For the past 20 years, Mark served as a New Home Specialist for Parret Homes, where he took great pride in helping countless families realize the dream of a new home, continuing his work until just weeks before his passing.
Outside of his professional success, Mark was a dedicated family man, a loyal friend, and a helpful neighbor. He spent his life giving back to others, guided by a profound and steady faith. His life was a reflection of the promise in Matthew 25:21: "His master replied, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
Mark is survived by his beloved wife Joan "Joanie" of 33 years (together for 44 years). He is also survived by his sisters Gail Neuser, Mary Ziemendorf, Sharon (Doug) Welch, Kim Strautmanis and two sisters-in-law, Janet (Gary) Kallio and Mary Ann (Rick) Oelke; nieces and Nephews: Carmen (Jim) Cuccinello, James (partner Shelly) Safford, Elise (Jacob) Shearer, Anna (Logan) Horstman, Angela (Mike) Vioski, Jennifer (Matt) Welch, Eddie (partner Lisa), Katie (Cory) Betz, and a Great Nephew/God Son Cameron (Sarah) Cuccinello.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother Mary C. (Hecimovich) and Father William F. Neuser and his brother William "Bill" Neuser.
A memorial service will take place at 11 am, Saturday, January 10th, at St. Edward The Confessor Parish on Highway 47 in Mackville. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 9 am until 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude, Samaritan's Purse, or tunnel to Towers.
Joanie and the family wish to express their deepest gratitude to the medical teams who cared for Mark with such compassion: Dr. Eugene Rigstad and Nurse Heidi at Primary Care Associates, Mayo Clinic-Rochester, Wisconsin Institute of Urology, ThedaCare (Interventional Radiology, Oncology, and Regional Medical Center), Brewster Village, and Moments Hospice.
