Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Linda L. Corcoran, born January 31, 1952, who passed away on July 31, 2026 under the excellent care of  the St. Croix Hospice team as well as the staff at Dimensions Living Appleton.

Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Kay (Helling) Tharp, her mother, Agnes (Sommerlund)Helling, and her father Mervin L Helling.

Linda is survived by her beloved cat, Sophie.

Linda was a woman of grace and strength, despite suffering from Parkinson's for several years.   Linda was an inspiration to all around her.   She possessed a profound affection for cats and dogs, coupled with a selfless nature and a spirit of kindness.

In 2019, a new acquaintance named Fran presented Linda with a meaningful gift.  This gift inspired her to explore the Bible and the truths it contains.  She eagerly anticipated the prospect of residing on a paradise earth established by God's kingdom.  Linda became a dedicated Witness of Jehovah a few years later.  In her quiet way, she gave a great witness to the care givers in her life.  Even Dupe would call her "Linda Baby" and would mention how they would chat about the Bible.

Despite being homebound, Linda was resolute in her commitment to participate in every meeting at the Kingdom Hall via Zoom. Numerous sisters would join her during these sessions, allowing her to enjoy loving companionship and avoid solitude.

Linda would have wanted it to be known how much she appreciated the efforts made by ones like Jackie, who made great burgers for her.  As time went on Linda's appetite waned, but Derek and Selena whipped up something special for her and she loved it!  Or Megan and Jen, who ensured that no matter where she relocated, Sophie would be by her side.  Linda also valued the fact that, regardless of the day or time of request, Julie would always come through for her.

To all who knew and loved Linda, thank you for being there for her to the very end!

Until we see you again Linda, sleep well!
