Leonard J. Vande Hey, age 54, of Kaukauna, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.  Len was born in Alexandria, VA on April 15, 1970, to Robert and Sandra (Wright) Vande Hey.

He graduated with the class of 88 at Xavier High School where he played football.  Following high school, Len attended U. W. Platteville, then U. W. Milwaukee where he graduated with a degree in engineering.

On April 11, 2006, Len was united in marriage to Julie Medsker, and the couple were blessed with a daughter Riley and a son Connor.  He started his career at Vande Hey Roofing and Tile Company, then moved to Milwaukee where he worked for Capital Stamping, then came back to the Fox River Valley where he was currently working for Orbis, a Division of Menasha Corp.  Len was very dedicated to his job and traveled a lot.

Len loved the outdoors – especially hunting and fishing.  One of his prized possessions was his trophy moose that he shot on a hunting trip in Alaska with his father, his Uncle Roy, and his cousin/best friend, Jake.  He also enjoyed riding his Fat Boy Harley Davidson and ATV's up north.  Len also loved working in his large garden at home.  One of his favorite adventures was a family camping trip out west where he visited Yellowstone National Park.

He is survived by his wife Julie, Kaukauna; daughter Riley, Kaukauna; son Connor, Kaukauna; Father Robert (Jean) Vande Hey, Hilbert; mother Sandra (Steve) Vande Hey, Walla Walla, WA; sister-in-law Mylea (Brad) Juidici; 7 Aunts:  Rodena Wright, Margie (Leo) Vosters, Phyllis (Dave) Werley, Mary (Jim) Beschta, Victoria (Dave) Gossens, Terry (Robin) Van Zeeland, and Rebecca (Hector) Esparza; 4 Uncles:  Vince Vande Hey, Gerand (Carol) Vande Hey, Donald (Mary Lou) Vande Hey, and Roy (Deb) Vande Hey.  He is further survived by his German Shepherd Lizzy and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
