Leigh Anne Blocker, age 79, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, while visiting her sister in Florida, following health issues.

Leigh Anne was born in Upland, California on February 20, 1947, to the late Herbert and Jane (Desanti) Wilkinson.  She earned her master's degree at Central Michigan University.  Leigh Anne worked as a social worker for a few years in her earlier days, then dedicated her life to taking care of her mother and her children.

Leigh Anne was a faithful member at St. Pius X Catholic Church.  She enjoyed theater and dance and belonged to The Silver Foxettes tap dancing group.  She also loved to cook; her specialty was her spaghetti.  She will be best remembered as being a very caring mother and grandmother.

Leigh Anne will be dearly missed by her two daughters:  Theresa Wilkinson, Appleton and Beth Blocker, Tehachapi, CA; her son John Blocker, Mississippi; grandson Michael Wilkinson, Appleton; and 3 sisters:  Frances Suzanne Hindle, Boynton Beach, FL, Joyce Babcock, Midland, Michigan, and Ava Vernon, Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She is further survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Jane, and her son Frederick Blocker.

A Funeral Mass will take place at 2:30 pm on Sunday, August 30, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St. in Appleton.  Friends may visit at the church on Sunday from 1:30 pm until 2:15 pm.  Interment will take place at 10:30 am on Monday, August 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Appleton.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
