In Keith's own words:

As expected of all born to this earth, I have moved on from this life. I was born on the 24th of February 1934. I was lucky enough to be born of an Irish Mother, Alice Minnie (Landers) Long, and an Irish Father, Harry H. Long in Appleton, Wisconsin. While alive on this earth, I enjoyed family and friends, work and play. Foremost in my life were my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They know how much I loved and enjoyed them.

I had a wonderful journey down the highway of my life, with its many wonderful pleasures:  My children, bless all three of them, and their families; My parents and my brothers and sisters and their families, my ex-wife and her family; My friends; The quiet of my backyard with wildflowers, my garden, and animals both wild and domestic; My life from start to end, both working and non-working.

On this trip through life there were so many things to be grateful for, so thanks for all the good and happy times:  Friends, fishing, camping, the Taggie fishing gang, and much more.  The girls that I have known and loved during my life (thankfully some of them even loved me back).  The fun of traveling to see new places and learn new things.  And last but not least, I thank my Jesuits friends for giving me my outlook on life and the meaning of it for me. Thank you all for the many wonderful memories.

So, my friends: Please no tears of sorrow for me. If there are to be tears let them be tears of joy, for my spirit cannot and will not leave you as long as you remember the good times we have had together.  And by the way, have a drink of good Irish Whiskey in my memory, and may the Irish Spirit help keep you warm, healthy and happy.

Love to you all and thanks for the good times.
