Kathy S. Rank

64, Appleton, passed away on July 27, 2023. She was born on Feb. 16, 1959, one of five children to Bernard 'Bud' and Eleanor (Pritzl) Kabat. On October 11th, 1980, Kathy married Bob Rank and enjoyed almost 43 years of blissful marriage. Working with children was her passion. Starting with babies in daycare to preschool and all the way to high schools; but mostly in elementary and middle schools. Like everyone else she enjoyed the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers (Sixtooooo Lezcano). Kathy also enjoyed sitting in the driveway with neighbors, many years biking and camping all over in Wisconsin campgrounds with a very select special group of friends.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Bob; two sons: Christopher (Amanda) Rank and Joshua (Whitney) Rank both of Appleton; two sisters: Candee Abels of Freedom, WI, and Debbie Silverstien (Mark) Yorba Linda, California, and a brother Rick (Ann) Kabat of Apollo Beach, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Teena (Bill) Garbrecht, brother-in-law Stan (Candee) Abels and nephew Kurt Abels.

A Mass for Kathy will take place at 11 AM, Saturday, August 12, 2023, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Appleton with Rev. Joseph Dorner officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 9 – 11 AM on Saturday.
