Karren F. Grotenhuis, age 75, of Appleton, passed away at ThedaCare Hospital of Appleton surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.  She was born to the late Lewis and Opal (Kratz) Garrow on November 4, 1949, in Paxton, Illinois.  Karren enjoyed laying out in the sun, dancing, flower arranging, music of all kinds, and spending time in her daughter's backyard.  Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family.

Karren is survived by her daughters: Tracey Stilp and Angela Grotenhuis; grandchildren: Mckenzie Stilp, Ahsley Stilp, and Zachary Stilp; sisters: Diana (Bernie) Koenig, Sandra (George) Ewing, and Naomi (Jeff Parks) Laux; brothers: David Garrow and Richard (Janice) Garrow; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Carol Ann.

A Memorial Service for Karren will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at BRETTSCHNEIDER TRETTIN NICKEL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 606 N. Oneida Street, Appleton, with Fr. Joe Dorner officiating.  Friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
