John Grassi, age 71, of Neenah, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Peabody manor in Menasha.  John was born in Manhattan, New York on Dec 28, 1953 to the late kind and lovingly wonderful mother Adeline Lueck.  He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life Bertha McMahon.

John loved billiards and playing practical jokes.  He most valued the time he spent with family, especially his mother and brothers.  John was a devoted U.S. Marine.  Enlisting after high school and serving with pride until his health could not allow him any longer.  He worked for many years as head supervisor of the custodial department at what was the South Florida State Hospital.

John is survived by his brothers: Allen and Glen; his sister Dian; his sons John and Jaime; and he will be leaving his lifelong best friends Jeffrey and Pamela Baker.

He was preceded in death by his mother Adeline, father Dale and his brother Daniel "Danny".

John's interment will be held at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King.
