Joan Margaret Muench Driessen, age 92 of, Appleton, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.  She was born to the late Arnold and Genevieve (Bosser) Driessen on January 11, 1931, in Appleton.  Joan married the late Harry T. Muench on April 15, 1953.  She worked at the Union Grill at Lawrence University for 28 years.  Joan was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church all of her life, the American Legion, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and the Monte Alverno Retreat House.  Joan enjoyed most spending time with friends and family.

Joan is survived by her son David Muench of Stone Mountain, Georgia; granddaughter Julia Nicole Muench Koestier; sister Mary Rose (Roy) Schaefer of Appleton; and other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by husband Harry; her parents' and brother William George (Marian) Driessen and brother James Arnold (Jenece) Driessen; Harry's parents Helen and Harry Muench; and Harry's sister Delores (Earl) Muench Christianson.

A Funeral Service for Joan will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, at BRETTSCHNEIDER TRETTIN NICKEL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 606 N Oneida Street, Appleton with Deacon Gibb Schmidt officiating.  Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Appleton.
