Jeanne Marie
Wallace
Jan 1, 1947 — Jan 27, 2022
Jeanne Wallace, Appleton, age 75, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 27, 2022. She was born in Shawano on January 1, 1947 to the late Charlie and Phyllis Wright. Jeanne married Bill Wallace on March 18, 1989. That was the start of two families becoming one. After 20 years of working for Edward Jones she retired and made it a mission to enjoy every day. Jeanne loved gardening, painting, shopping and visiting with family and friends.
Jeanne was an independent, strong-willed woman. No matter how tough life got, she never quit. She got out of bed everyday and put one foot in front of the other. In the end, she had a full and successful life. Her big heart and willingness to help someone in need is something she will always be remembered for.
Jeanne is survived by her children: Bill (Joy) Tarr of Black Creek and grandsons, Jake (Cassie) Tarr and great grandson Jaxton, Dylan Arnold (Michelle); Mike (Kari) Tarr of Menomonie and grandchildren: Vivi and Johnny; and Kevin Wallace of Neenah. Bill's daughter: Tami (Chuck) Rasmussen of Kaukauna; her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Brittany (Tim) Janssen (Beckett and Emerson), Chelsea Gerow, Chase (Nicole) Gerow (Jack and Grace) and Taylor Rasmussen (Cheyenne). She is also survived by her siblings: Judy Vandenberg, Jim (Sharon) Wright, Joyce (Bill Thomsen) Wright, John (Kris) Wright, Jerilyn (Chad) Jahnke, Jeff (Meg) Wright and Jane (Pat) Murray; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Earl Wallace, Rose Verhagen, Grace Hietpas, Donna Eake and Pat Van Grinsven; She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Jim and Stella Wallace and brothers and sisters-in-law: Casey Vandenberg, Kenny (Mary) and Oscar Wallace.
A special thank you to Susan Piper, Joanne Bogenschutz, Suzan Smith, and Louise Unmuth for being such great friends to Jeanne.
