Jean Marie Behrent, age 91, of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, surrounded by the people who loved her.  She was born to the late Harvey and Jessie (Herning) Behrent on March 3, 1932, in Appleton.  Jean loved to travel, write notes in cards and send them, and singing, always singing!

Jean is survived by her sister Joyce Voight and many nieces and nephews, including her special nephew, Todd Tessen and great-niece, Malea; her friend and caregiver of many years Rose Aguirre and her family; and many other friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Paul, Arthur, Eugene, Kenneth, James and Wayne; and sisters: Joan, Mary, Shirley, Audrey, Delores and Donna. Jean has always been grateful for the many other special friends in her life, including Deb DeBauche and Sandi Dunsirn and her dear friend Betty Krueger.

A funeral service for Jean will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023 at BRETTSCHNEIDER TRETTIN NICKEL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 606 N Oneida Street, Appleton.  Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will take place at the historic Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.
