James L. Dorin

73, Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Wed., Sept. 28, 2021. Jim was born on Sept. 28, 1948, in Appleton to Rudolph and June May (Lenhart) Dorin. He married Linda Lehman in December 1974. Jim joined the U.S. Marines and served multiple tours in the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1976.

He enjoyed playing music and played base guitar with the band 'The Rude Boys' for many years and lately on open mic nights at the Rocx Roadhouse. Jim also liked working on cars, fishing, the Packers and quiet times in the outdoors. He worked as a chef throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; a son, James Jr.; 3 stepsons: Noel, Tim (Veronica) and Dennis; a stepdaughter, Michelle and his mother, June May Dorin. He is further survived by his 7 brothers: Dan (Maria), Randy (Freda), Joe (Bernadette), Tim (Mary), Brad (Denise), Tony (Connie) and Mike (Sally) and one sister Cindy (Dave) Bailey.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph and sister Barbara Helsbeck.

He will be laid to rest at King Veteran's Cemetery with full Military Honors on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Jim will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
