James S. Blair, age 55, of Appleton, passed away on April 3, 2026, at ThedaCare Medical Center, Appleton, surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born on May 25, 1970, to Stephen and Jayne (Jansen) Blair in Appleton. He graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 1988. He attended Fox Valley Technical College and began a career as a mechanical designer.

Jim was an outdoorsman and was very resourceful and self-sufficient. He enjoyed: hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, canning, archery and cooking. He was a proud fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Jim will be greatly missed by his parents; brother, Mark Blair; children: Michael J. (Jordan) Blair and Rachel (fiancé Pete Lemmers) Blair; sister-in-law, Jenny Blair and nephews: Nick Blair and Alex (fiancé Erick Silva) Blair and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Blair.

A Funeral Service for James will be held at 1 PM, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Dietzler officiating. Friends may visit the family from 11 AM until the time of service. Memorials can be directed to Jim's children.
