Jacqueline E. Smudde, age 69, of Appleton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, following years of health issues.

Jackie was born in Racine on January 22, 1957, to the late Francis and Elizabeth (Drinkwine) Perry.  She graduated from the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in 1975.  On August 7, 1982, she was united in marriage to Gregg T. Smudde.  The couple enjoyed 44 years together.

Jackie enjoyed camping, crafting, bowling, and visiting with friends.  She had lots of love for her dogs and will be greatly missed by her husband Gregg, of Appleton.

A celebration of Jackie's life will take place on a future date.
