Helen A. Wagner, age 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Dimensions Living in Appleton.  Helen was born in Milwaukee on December 21, 1931, to the late Anton and Elizabeth (Poeltl) Wagner.  Helen worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years, including time at U. S. Military bases in Germany where she cared for military personnel.  Later in life she became a third order Carmelite.   Helen enjoyed traveling and skiing in her free time.

She is survived by a sister Theresa Wagner along with numerous nieces and other family members.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Edward and Frank; and her Aunt Rose and Uncle Adolf Kopfer with whom she spent her childhood.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, March 27, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St., Appleton with Brother Ray Stadmeyer O.F.M. Cap. officiating.  Friends may visit at the church on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Interment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Milwaukee.

The family would like to thank Eden Villa North in Seattle, Dimensions Living in Appleton, and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Helen and her family.  Also, a heartfelt thank you to Pat Thomas who was a close friend and a wonderful caregiver. Finally, a special thank you to her niece Julie Post for her devotion and kind care.
