Helen E. Lathrop, age 98, of Appleton, passed away at St. Paul Elder Services on July 9, 2022. She was born in Germany on February 24, 1924. Helen moved to America in 1952 by herself with ten dollars in her pocket. She worked for many years at Marathon Paper company as a document translator, translating data in four different languages. Helen is survived by her sister, Gertrud Lohr; her niece,Brigitte (Alex) Buelow; her grand-niece, Luise Buelow; and her longtime friends in Appleton, who were like family.

Per her wishes, no funeral services will be held. She will be inurned at Highland Memorial Park next to her husband, Lloyd. Helen's family would like to thank the staff at St. Paul Villa, St. Paul Elder Services, and St. Paul Hospice for the compassionate and loving care they provided her.
