Gavriel Erich Wenzel, age 24, passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2021 in Appleton. He was born on June 11, 1997 to Erich and Michelle (Rasmussen) Wenzel at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Gavriel loved spending time outdoors where he would enjoy nature and its beauty. He liked throwing knives and axes as target practice. Gavriel also was described as an old soul and listened to many genres of music especially old country music.

Gavriel is survived by his parents; his sisters: Salicia Garncarz and Arianna (Jeremiah) Ross; his niece Evelyn Garncarz; his aunts: Jamie (Daniel) Bonnin and their daughter Alexis, and Charlotte Horant and her children Zoe, Leo, Elliot, and Henry; paternal grandparents Howard and Patricia Wenzel; maternal grandparents Donald and Sally Rasmussen; and many other relatives and friends.

Per the family's wishes, a celebration of Gavriel's life will take place in Door County at a later date.
