Fay Ellen Van Eyck

Fay passed away on April 10, 2023, after a short illness. She was born on October 9, 1930, in Appleton, daughter of the late Burton and Phyllis (Hogle) Bernhardt. She graduated from Appleton West High School and married Richard Van Eyck on September 19, 1951. They were married 69 years. Fay worked at Wichmann Furniture Store, Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Lawrence University, from where she retired in June 1994 after 30 years. Fay volunteered at Appleton Medical Center and Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law: Sue Van Eyck, Redding, CA, Rose Ann Wynboom, Little Chute, Robert (Grace) Van Eyck, Appleton and David (Margo) Van Eyck, Appleton; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; sisters-in-law: Margaret Vander Wielen, Anna May (Merlin) Olson and Mary Lou Van Eyck; brothers-in-law: Jim Van Eyck and Simon Wynboom and first cousin, Carol Weber.

Funeral services for Fay will be held at Noon, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Brettschneider Trettin Nickel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Dismer officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Saturday. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
