Duane John Hayes, age 75, of Appleton passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, May 14, 2021. Son of late John Hayes, Duane was born on December 14, 1945 in Milwaukee. Duane enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gunsmithing. He was a true handyman and had a very artistic side. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Duane is survived by his daughter Lillian (Paul) Barton and their children: Paul Barton, Jr, Marquellis Barton and Kiara Barton; sister Lisa (Ron) Holtslander and their children Ronnie Holtslander and Amanda Esselman; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father.

Per the family's wishes, a private service for Duane will be held at a later date.
