Duane Orvil Blank, age, 77 passed from this earthly life from a heart attack on November 12, 2025 in Appleton WI. He was born on March 1, 1948 in Fond du Lac to Orvil and Lucille (Pfeiffer) Blank. Duane graduated from Brandon High School. He joined the US Air Force and served in the Philippines. He graduated from UW Green Bay in 1975. Duane worked in a variety of jobs throughout his life, many in retail and hospitality. Duane enjoyed golf, cars, reading, traveling and photography.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents: Lucille and Orvil. He is survived by his sister Barbara (George) Mattheis, Appleton WI and their children, Randall, Evanston, IL, Tamara (Kurtice) Alden,  Manitowoc, WI; their children Christopher and Benjamin, Paul (Maxine) Marlboro, MA; and many cousins and friends.

Duane's funeral will be held Saturday March 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., visitation from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church 326 East North Street Appleton WI, with lunch to follow. Pastor Mary Bauer will be officiating.  A private burial will take place at a later date in the Brandon Cemetery.
