Donna L. Schou, age 67, of Kimberly, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, at her home. Donna was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL on March 19, 1954. Her partner and soulmate, Kenneth Knowles, were married on July 29, 2001. (Anyone that was witness to this relationship knows of their incredible love for one another).

Donna Schou was pleasantly retired and enjoyed pursuing the gift of time, free quietness, reflecting and wonder. All of this after serving for over 40 years as a Registered Nurse, specializing in Hospice and palliative care – serving her AIDS patients in Provincetown, MA, and later her geriatric and neurology patients with love and compassion.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Knowles; her son Jason Henderson; her brother Kevin Schou; and her sister, Wanda Ott.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Denny.

Donna enjoyed the outdoors, with her greatest love being the art of flyfishing. She also, creatively, enhanced the world through her weaving, quilting, landscaping, gardening in her bib overalls, her sense of humor, and – her most generous act of all – her sacred listening.

A private service will be held at a later date.
