Donald A
Zilisch
Nov 4, 1962 — Mar 2, 2024
Neenah
Donald Anthony Zilisch, 61, died Saturday, March 2, 2024, at home from neuroendocrine cancer. He was born November 4, 1962, in Neenah, WI, the son of the late Norman and June (Steffans) Zilisch.
Don owned and operated Don's Auto Body (Neenah) for over 20 years. Don was a true artist with a paint gun. He enjoyed going to classic car shows, playing pool, and watching NASCAR and Packers games with friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Don is survived by his wife Sue McCorkle, sisters: Betsy (Stephen) Schroeder, Ginger (Dick) Nys, Bonnie Joosten, and Trisha (Charlie) Arndt; and brothers: David (Karen), Jimmy (Char), and Clayton (Jerri); and support cats, Gilligan and Kitty. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his brother: Steven Zilisch and his sister: Susan Johnson.
A special thanks to Moments Hospice, especially Nurse Ashley & CNA Cassie. Moments Hospice Foundation granted Don a ride in a 1929 Ford Model T. It wasn't his award-winning, beloved 1964 Chevy Impala, but he was thrilled for the time out.
A celebration of life for Don will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established to help with the cost of a memorial tree being planted at Rydell Conservancy.
