Dolores Gevelinger, age 95, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Dolores was born in Appleton on October 31st, 1927, to the late Matt and Sophie (Fritsch) Meier. Following high school, she was united in marriage to Raymond Gevelinger Sr. on November 19, 1946. The couple enjoyed 67 years together until Rays passing in 2013. Dolores was a longtime member at St. Thomas More Catholic Church where she belonged to the Ladies of St. Thomas More.

Dolores is survived by her son Randall (Dawn) Gevelinger, Appleton; daughter Pamela Gevelinger, Appleton; four grandchildren: Adam, Kristina (Brandon) Alexander, and David (Elizabeth) Gevelinger and Matthew Priebe; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, daughter Sophie Theresa, son Raymond Jr., parents Matt and Sophie, 3 sisters: Gen (Hugo) Lamers, Soph (Al) Boots, and Mary (Marty) Wyngaard; 3 brothers: Matt (Frieda) Meier, Willard (Margaret) Meier, and Roman (Alice) Meier; and nieces Linda Sue Meier and Sherise Laughman.

A short prayer service will take place at 1 PM on Monday, November 28th, at the Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Monday from 10:30 AM until 12:45 PM. Entombment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
