Daniel W. Bauer, 72, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, after a long illness, with his daughter by his side. He was born July 29, 1953, in Neenah, Wisconsin, to Carlton and Joanne (Dougherty) Bauer.

Dan graduated from St. Mary Central High School in 1971, where he played basketball. He worked for Neenah Paper Co. and enjoyed many years playing on the company softball team.

In more recent years, Dan volunteered at Colony Oaks Care Center and St. Vincent de Paul Neenah/Menasha. He was an avid Brewers and Packer fan.

Dan is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jillian and Mark Arnold; along with numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Joanne; his in-laws; and his former wife, Connie Bauer.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday May 14, 2026, at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
