Cindy C.
Long (Schultz)
May 6, 1953 — Apr 17, 2024
Appleton
Cynthia "Cindy" C. Long (Schultz), age 70, passed away peacefully at her home in the Town of Center on April 17, 2024, with her family by her side. The oldest of six children, she was the ultimate "Momma Hen" when it came to the family. She always worried about everyone else before herself and made sure we all remembered birthdays, anniversaries, and other important events. She even bought us calendars for our fridges and filled out all the dates so we would not forget! She loved to garden and had an amazing eye for landscaping. She knew just what plants would work well in what places the moment she looked at a space in her yard. She loved to read, and her bookshelves were filled with stories of history, romance and her favorite, Stephen King. She also loved animals and loved watching all the wildlife in her backyard. But she mostly loved her Kitties!
She met and fell in love with her soul mate Don, they married in Hawaii and enjoyed 32 years of marriage. They traveled together across the United States, abroad and even lived in Australia for a year. Her greatest joy was her only child Jeffrey. She was an awesome Mom who was very proud of her son. She was so happy when he finally found his soul mate in Miranda. She was so excited when they announced their engagement and was finally content knowing that he had someone special in his life.
She worked for Kimberly Clark for many years and made many friends, including her best friend, Millie. They became very close and were always there for each other. She could strike up a conversation with anyone about anything and loved to talk to people. We used to joke that you didn't have to worry about carrying on a conversation, as long as she was around! She was a smart, strong, kind, compassionate and generous person, with a sweet soul and she will be greatly missed. The world was definitely a better place because she was in it!
She is survived by her husband Don (Donald) Schultz, son Jeffrey Long (Miranda), stepson Ryan Schultz, stepdaughter Ria Schultz, brother Mark Christenson, brother Jeff Christenson, brother Steve Christenson (Lynn), brother Phillip Christenson (Shawn), sister Sarah Christenson (Bob), grandchildren Sage, Skylar, Logan, Morgan, Ava and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents LeRoy (Charlie) and Betty Christenson, sister-in-law Ann Christenson (Jeff) and other relatives.
The family would like to thank Moments Hospice of Appleton and personally thank Kris and Linda for their wonderful care. In lieu of a service, the family will be holding a private Celebration of Life.
