Charlotte (Berghuis) Luebke, age 83, of Appleton, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024.  She was born on April 16, 1940, to the late William and Anne (Roemer) Berghuis in Little Chute.  Charlotte started her years at St. John Catholic School.  She later moved to Appleton, attended St. Joseph Catholic School, and graduated in 1958 from Appleton High School.

Upon graduation she became a secretary at what was then First National Bank, and later became a legal secretary at Hoeffel, Coughlin & Bayorgeon Law Firm.  When she married Norbert M. Luebke, they worked together at Valley Filter Supply and Glendale Building Supply.  Also, for 26 years she was an election inspector at the polls and a special voting deputy.

She was a charter member of the Professional Secretaries International, Appleton Chapter.

She is survived by her husband, Norbert; daughter Linda Luebke; son Todd Luebke; two precious grandchildren Willem and Addison Luebke; her sister Beverly (Guy) Johnson; nephews Chris (Juanene) Johnson, Michael (Nancy) Johnson, and Dean (Laurette) Johnson; along with many cousins, great nieces, nephews, and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents; and parents-in-law Milton and Pearl Luebke.

A mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W Marquette Street, Appleton, with Father Jim Jugenheimer officiating.  Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.  The burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.

The family would like to thank Primary Care Associates, ThedaCare at Home Hospice, Kelly and her staff of Hospice Nurses, and Dr. Sibla for the care and compassion they showed Charlotte and her family during this difficult time.
