Obituary

Charles Capper Jr.

84, Neenah, passed away in the early hours of October 16th, 2023, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. Charles or Charlie was born in Iowa on May 16th, 1939, to the late Charles L. and Viola (Anderson) Capper. He went on to graduate from The University of Wisconsin with a degree in business. He eventually migrated to Appleton, WI with his family, in the early 1980's. This is where he spent most of his work life doing tax accounting.

Charlie had a passion and crazy memory for sports and statistics. He was an avid, Badger, Bears and Cleveland 'Indians' Guardians fan. He was very involved over his lifetime with The Appleton Foxes and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, where you can still find his name on a skybox dedicated to him.

Charlie was a father of two children: Tom (Carla) Capper and Kate (Scott) Meyer; his beloved grandchildren: Allison, Brianne (Tom) and Mike, Justin, Alec, Jake, Kyle and Kelly (Kate). He also followed his grandchildren's accomplishments and was a huge fan of the Kimberly Papermakers and the Cary Grove Trojans, where his grandchildren attended.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leland.

He would love to grab a sausage and black olive pizza after any academic or sporting event.

Thank you to Theda Care and the staff at Cherry Meadows through this difficult time. Per Charlie's wishes private family services will be held and he will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.
