Obituary

Bradley Thomas Koller, age 71, of Appleton, passed peacefully in his home early Sunday morning August 11, after a 4-year battle with ALS. Brad was born in Appleton, the son of Norbert and Mary (Hoheisel) Koller. He graduated from Appleton East High School and went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a degree in History.

Brad and Deb Meyer were joined in marriage on August 20, 1983. They met while attending UW Oshkosh and have been together ever since. This year would have been their 41st wedding anniversary. They have two daughters, Allyson Denton (Nathan) and Rebecca Zickert (Kevin).

Brad's career was in print sales starting at Printron Engraving. He then joined Banta publishing.

He especially loved golfing, fishing, watching the Brewers and the Packers, and spending time with close friends and family.

Brad was an active member of the Appleton Elks lodge serving 2 terms as Exalted Ruler among other appointed roles.  His fellow ELKs members remained a constant and cherished support network for him even as ALS robbed him of his mobility and ability to attend meetings and functions in person.

Always upbeat, Brad enjoyed spinning tales with friends and keeping people laughing and smiling. He will always be remembered for being able to connect with everyone and anyone he met.

Brad is preceded in death by his father Norbert Koller, mother Mary (Hoheisel) Koller and nephew Jacob Koller. Those carrying on Brad's legacy include spouse Deb, daughters Allyson and Rebecca, siblings Jeff, Pat, Pete, Mike, Kathleen, Andy, Barbara, and Jimmie in addition to cousins, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a private interment with immediate family at St. Augustine Cemetery in Chilton on 8/28. Announcement will be made for a celebration of life gathering later in the fall where everyone can raise a glass to enjoy the wonderful spirit that was Brad Koller.
