Blanche Bauman, age 99, found eternal peace on April 7, 2025. She was born August 7, 1925, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Joseph and Mary (Marecek) Haluza. Blanche was active athletically and socially in her early years through Sokol, an athletic club that was an important part of her Czech heritage. She made a number of trips to Komna, Czech Republic in her early years to visit her relatives.

She married the love of her life, LeRoy Bauman, on June 2, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin when he returned from service in the Korean War. Blanche and Roy were blessed with four children: Lee (Peggy) Bauman, Madison, WI, Thomas (Debby) Bauman, Delafield, WI, Susan Kilian, Waupaca, WI and Sally (John) Lewinski, Waupaca, Wi ; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents, and her brother Dennis.

Blanche was strong-willed with a lively personality. Her family was most important, and she was always involved in her children's, grandchildren, and great grandchildren's life events. She loved to play cards and was often playing golf and bowling well into her 80s. She liked to walk, and she continued to move about her surroundings with her walker without assistance in her later years.

Blanche will be laid to rest beside her beloved, Roy Bauman in Appleton, WI.

The family would like to thank the staff at Park Vista and the Legacy, Waupaca, for their outstanding care and compassion. Also, the staff from ThedaCare Hospice for their valuable assistance.

The Brettschneider Trettin- Nickel Funeral Chappel will handle arrangements for the family. A celebration of Blanche's life will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to a favorite charity in Blanche's name.
