Betty Jane Stecker, age 97, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Edenbrook in Appleton.  She was born to the late Arnold and Rosella (Radtke) Borgwardt on September 9, 1927, in Beloit.   Betty enjoyed cooking/baking, fishing, gardening, watching the Packers, and doing word searches.  Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family.

Betty is survived by her son Donald (Barbara) Laux; her daughters Debra McMullen and Tammy (Bob) Nelson; grandchildren: Andrea (Jordan) Wilson, Jennifer Laux, Melissa (Christian) Griffiths, Chad (Wendy) McMullen, and Dawn Strunc; great grandchildren: Mariah, Parker, Eliza, Norah, Jonah, Elliot, Wilder, Olivet, Mercy, Sydney, Providence, Ashley, Josh (Lori), and Conor; great-great grandchildren: Carter, Echo, and Rosalie; and other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Gilbert; sister Helen (Fred) Buchanan; brothers Donald (Lolly) Borgwardt and Robert "Bobby" Borgwardt; and grandson-in-law Jim Strunc.

A Funeral Mass for Betty will be held privately.  Interment will take place at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
