Betty J.
Hull
Apr 18, 1933 — Apr 20, 2023
Neenah
Betty J. Hull (Hansen), age 90, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, with family by her side. Betty was born the oldest of six children in Clintonville, on April 18, 1933, to the late Arthur and Arvilla (Guyette) Hansen.
After high school she was united in marriage to Marlin E. Hull. They moved to Neenah, where they raised 7 children. She had been married for 64 years and was the thread that stitched the family together. She did this while working third shift for most of her 30 years at Rich's Bakery.
Betty lived a simple, but hard life. She was humble and taught her children to be strong and independent. She always said, "God helps those who help themselves." Right up until Betty's last day at home, when she suffered a stroke, she insisted on doing anything she possibly could on her own.
She was happiest when her family came to visit, especially if it took place outdoors in the warmth of the sun. She loved to crochet and sew. She particularly enjoyed quilting. Her legacy will live on in each, and every personalized keepsake she created for us.
Betty will be dearly missed by her 6 surviving children: Marlin Jr., David, Roxane (Jeff), Christine, Melody (Tim), Holly (Dean); 7 grandchildren: Crystal, Autumn, Paul, Brittany, Craig, Heather, Madalyn; 7 great grandchildren: Aryah, Riley, Izayah, Hunter, Ethan, Makenah, and Aubrey; brother, Don (Faye) Hansen; 2 sisters-in-law: Delores Hansen and Elaine Balke, brother-in-law, Gene Balke. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Roderick, sons-in-law Chris and Jeff; 4 siblings Chester and Raymond Hansen, Phyllis Erickson, and Delores Maleug.
Per Betty's wishes, a private family service will be held. Inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Betty's son Dave who was her caretaker for the past 2 years and to a very special staff member at St. Elizabeth Hospital – Crystal who cared for our mother with the utmost love and compassion as if she were her own – keep on doing what you do Crystal.
Mom - We love you, we miss you, and will never forget you!
