Betty A. Barker, age 81, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.  She was born on May 15, 1943, to the late Earl and Bernice (Hanson) Kirkpatrick in Appleton.  Betty worked at Rogan's Shoes for many years and loved to volunteer her time, most recently with the Fox Cities Marathon for the last three years.

Betty enjoyed cheering on her favorite Wisconsin sports teams as well as having a race on in the background.  She was a "crafter" and spent time on things such as: sewing, diamond painting, needle point, and embroidering.  One of Betty's favorite things to do was to jump on the gambling bus and try her luck at the North Star Mohican Casino.  Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family.

Betty is survived by her daughters: Julie (Robert) Johnson, Deb (Kevin) Laird, and Susie (J.C.) Bruns; grandchildren: Caitlin (Nate Hansen) Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Alyssa (Brenton) Kasuboski, Brett (Marissa) Laird, Ellie Bruns, Addie Bruns, and Cassie Bruns; a soon to be great grandson Tate James Laird, sister Karen Fadner; sisters-in-law Donna Flanagan and Sharon (Bill) Newman; and other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death husband, William "Bill" Barker; her parents; parents-in-law Gordon and Audrey Barker; sister-in-law LaVonne (Jim) Webb; brother-in-law Jim Flanagan; and great grandson Casey James Laird.

Per Betty's wishes, no funeral services will be held.
